I am so happy to be the Interim Pastor here at Friedens Church! My family and I are really enjoying it here - the people are wonderful and the church has many strengths on which to build! I have pastored sister churches to Friedens and was also born and raised in a sister church in Seguin, so I feel right at home here. I love the Reformation heritage of the church and am promoting it at every opportunity.

Most Sundays I preach expository, verse-by-verse sermons. I thoroughly enjoy finding nuggets of insight or other interesting things and sharing them in the sermons. My aims are to glorify God, build up and encourage people who are already Christians, and with sensitivity and graciousness present the wonderful truths of Christ to those who are not yet Christians. If you are skeptical about Christianity, or have been burned by a church experience, or are struggling with doubts or other concerns I get it and I am here for you and eager to be of help in any way I can.

When I'm not pastoring, I run The Becker Insurance Group, specializing in helping people who are entering into Medicare and helping veterans with all the complexities they face in the Medicare world. I also enjoy just about anything related to the outdoors and spending quality time with my family in the activities they enjoy.

Come on out to Friedens this Sunday at 10 am, I'd love to meet you!

Hi my name is Reed Anderson and I am very excited to serve at Friedens Church. Me and my wife Madalin can’t wait to get to know all of you. I graduated down the road at Navarro High School in 2017 so the opportunity to minister to the youth in our area means the world to me. I have been a Youth Pastor for two years now, it is the most challenging, yet rewarding thing I have ever done in my life. I am very much looking forward to pointing the youth of the community I call home to Christ.

The things I have found students are craving most is self-worth, acceptance, fulfillment, and love that isn’t conditional, all these can only truly be found in Christ. When I find a student is having trouble with a specific feeling, situation, or emotion I love studying The Word with them. The Bible always points us to our true, joy-filled purpose, a relationship with Our Creator. I enjoy walking through the Bible verse by verse in order to answer four questions, What does it say about who God is? What does it say about us or humanity? What does this say about our relationship with God? And what should we do about it?

Building a community within a group of students is crucial to me. It’s important for them to have connections within each other so they can minister to each other, hold each other accountable, and carry one another’s burdens. When the church really connects as a family they embody the teachings of Christ, letters of Paul, and can reach lost souls in such a special way.

In my free time I love to hunt and fish as much as I responsibly can. I love spending as much time as I can with my nephews. Hanging out with them enriches my life more than they know.

I’m very proud to be a part of Friedens Church. Please ask me about my testimony, I’d love to tell you about what God’s done in my life.
