Hi my name is Reed Anderson and I am very excited to serve at Friedens Church. Me and my wife Madalin can’t wait to get to know all of you. I graduated down the road at Navarro High School in 2017 so the opportunity to minister to the youth in our area means the world to me. I have been a Youth Pastor for two years now, it is the most challenging, yet rewarding thing I have ever done in my life. I am very much looking forward to pointing the youth of the community I call home to Christ.
The things I have found students are craving most is self-worth, acceptance, fulfillment, and love that isn’t conditional, all these can only truly be found in Christ. When I find a student is having trouble with a specific feeling, situation, or emotion I love studying The Word with them. The Bible always points us to our true, joy-filled purpose, a relationship with Our Creator. I enjoy walking through the Bible verse by verse in order to answer four questions, What does it say about who God is? What does it say about us or humanity? What does this say about our relationship with God? And what should we do about it?
Building a community within a group of students is crucial to me. It’s important for them to have connections within each other so they can minister to each other, hold each other accountable, and carry one another’s burdens. When the church really connects as a family they embody the teachings of Christ, letters of Paul, and can reach lost souls in such a special way.
In my free time I love to hunt and fish as much as I responsibly can. I love spending as much time as I can with my nephews. Hanging out with them enriches my life more than they know.
I’m very proud to be a part of Friedens Church. Please ask me about my testimony, I’d love to tell you about what God’s done in my life.
